To accept a booking you must be able to provide a valid debit or credit card when booking. We accept all major credit and debit cards, apart from Discover and American Express.
Upon booking a pre-authorisation of your payment card will be required, unless you have booked a non-refundable or SAVER rate, in which case- your card will be charged the full amount of your stay.
Should a different card be used for settlement the pre-authorisation may hold for up to seven or more working days depending on the card issuers financial institution.
The hotel reserves the right to charge the credit or debit card that was used for the booking to pay for any incidentals at any time throughout your booking. Please inform reception on arrival should you wish to use a different payment method for incidentals.
The Angel Country Lodge Ltd reserves the right to charge the guarantee card up to 100% of the reservation value if the guest fails to arrive at THE HOTEL, or according to our cancellation policy below.
Same day bookings
Due to same day bookings falling within the cancellation window set out below, these bookings are considered non-refundable regardless of rate type. Any cancellations or no-shows will be charged 100% of the stay.

Corporate or business bookings must be guaranteed by a valid credit or debit card. No payment is required at the time of booking, although the hotel reserves the right to pre-authorise your credit or debit card.

Group accommodation rates
For groups of 10 rooms or more please contact reception.
Weekend minimums
Advanced reservations for Saturday nights require a two night minimum stay, May thru September. As we do occasionally experience cancellations, we encourage your to call to check availability. Holiday weekend and special event weekends may require a three-night stay, although this does change throughout the year.
Cancellation terms
If you have booked a non-refundable or SAVER rate your cancellation charge will be the full amount of your stay.
Flexible bookings can be cancelled free of charge prior to 2PM local time, 2 days prior to arrival. 100% stay value charged after this time.
Check in / check out times
Check in time from 14:00, checkout time 11am. Baggage can be stored if you arrive early. Early check-in is available at an extra cost in situations where we can guarantee it.
Pets
No pets allowed except guide dogs for the blind or deaf.
Parking
Parking is available at no extra cost. Parking is on site and off the main road. The car park is monitored by CCTV, however the hotel does not take any responsibility for any damage or losses from cars or contents in the car park.
Smoking policy
The Angel Hotel is completely a non-smoking hotel. We do not accept smoking in rooms or in the general public area. We do have a smoking area outside the bar in our pergola area.
Any charges resulting from deodorizing the property or other smoke related maintenance shall be the financial responsibility of the occupant of said room; this includes but is not limited to false alarms with the Alton Fire and Police Departments and lost revenue. Furthermore, the act of smoking voids any discount rate and said occupant will be financially responsible for all discounted room revenues.
Damages policy
We reserve the right to charge guests the cost of rectifying damage, caused by the deliberate, negligent or reckless act of the guest to the hotel’s property or structure. Should this damage come to light after the guest has departed, we reserve the right to make a charge to the guest’s credit / debit card, or send an invoice for the amount to the registered address. We will however make every effort to rectify any damage internally prior to contracting specialists to make the repairs, and therefore will make every effort to keep any costs that the guest would incur to a minimum.
REMOVAL OF HOTEL PROPERTY – We reserve the right to charge guests the cost of replacing any items that are removed from the premises by them without consent. The charge will be the full replacement amount of the missing item, including any carriage charges. Should the fact that the item is missing come to light after the guest has departed, we reserve the right to make a charge to the guests credit/debit card, or send an invoice for the amount to the registered address.
General booking terms
Unless otherwise stated, prices on this website are "per room per night", based on two people sharing a twin or DOUBLE ROOM, and in some circumstances with a minimum stay. All prices shown on this website are subject to availability, apply to new bookings only and cannot be used in conjunction with other offers. These offers are subject to change without prior notice.
Under The Hotel Proprietors Act persons under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult i.e. someone 18 or over.
Whilst every effort is made to fulfill your requests, unfortunately, these cannot be guaranteed and failure TO MEET the request will not constitute a breach of Contract. A full non-refundable or non-transferrable payment may be required at time of booking to confirm reservation.
Miscellaneous
The hotel relies on the Hotel Proprietors act 956 which limits the hotel liability to £50 a single article and is subject to £100 in the case of any, one guest.
Any special offers or price discounts on any Angel Hotel web sites are subject to availability and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or discount. The Angel Hotel reserve the right to change or cancel special offers and price discounts at any time.
The Angel Hotel have made all reasonable efforts to ensure that all information provided through the Angel Hotels web sites, published on the Internet, is accurate at the time of inclusion. However there may be inadvertent and occasional errors, including typographical errors for which we apologise. Information may also be updated or changed at any time without notice.
